ЁЯУЦ Detailed Explanation in English

Krishna makes a stunning statement here:

"I have nothing to gain, nothing left to achieve. Yet, I continue to act."

As the Supreme Being, Krishna is complete, perfect, and self-fulfilled. He doesn't need to perform karma for personal benefit. Then why does He act?

Because:

  • The world follows examples, not theories.

  • Leaders, especially divine ones, must model righteous behavior.

  • Inaction by the great leads to confusion and decay in society.

Thus, even God acts—not out of need, but out of compassion, responsibility, and the desire to uphold dharma.

This teaches us: We act not because we’re lacking, but because we’re part of the universal order that sustains creation.

ЁЯТб Life Lessons / Practical Takeaways

  • ЁЯЩП Even the highest beings don’t stop acting. Why should we?

  • ЁЯзШ Action is not always for gain—it can be for guidance.

  • ЁЯМН Lead by example—even when you have nothing to prove.

  • ЁЯФД Karma is part of universal rhythm. Align with it.

  • ЁЯлВ Responsibility isn’t about personal need, but social harmony.

ЁЯФЪ Conclusion

Krishna shows us that true greatness lies in responsibility, not superiority. Even when there's nothing to gain, the wise continue to act—for the good of the world.

This is Karma Yoga at its peak—action without need, service without desire, movement without ego.

In the next shloka, Krishna will reveal what would happen if He stopped acting—and the chaos it would cause in the world.
