विद्याविनयसम्पन्ने ब्राह्मणे गवि हस्तिनि ।
शुनि चैव श्वपाके च पण्डिताः समदर्शिनः ॥ ५.१८ ॥

vidyā-vinaya-sampanne brāhmaṇe gavi hastini ।
śuni caiva śvapāke ca paṇḍitāḥ sama-darśinaḥ ॥ 5.18 ॥

ज्ञान और विनय से युक्त व्यक्ति (पंडित) ब्राह्मण, गाय, हाथी, शुनक और श्वपाक (कुत्ते या नीच जीव) सभी को समान दृष्टि से देखते हैं।
English Translation
The learned, endowed with knowledge and humility, see equally the Brahmin, the cow, the elephant, the dog, and even the outcaste.

भगवान श्रीकृष्ण यहाँ समानदृष्टि (समान दृष्टि) का महत्व बताते हैं।
पंडित और योगी वह है जो ज्ञान (vidyā) और विनय (humility) से परिपूर्ण हो।
