Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अनुवाद)
English Translation
Others, offering the sacrifice of knowledge, worship Me in various ways — some see Me as One, others as separate in many forms, and still others as the Cosmic Being pervading the universe.
🌼 Detailed English Explanation
In this profound verse, Lord Krishna reveals the diversity of spiritual paths through which devotees approach the Divine.
“Jnana-Yajnena Cha Api Anye” — Some devotees worship through the sacrifice of knowledge — by contemplating and realizing the truth that all existence is divine. This is the inner yajna of understanding and surrendering the ego.
“Ekatvena” — Some perceive God as One Supreme Reality, the infinite consciousness that pervades all. This is the Advaita (non-dual) realization where everything is seen as one with Brahman.
“Prithaktvena” — Others worship God as distinct and manifold, seeing different deities or forms of the same Supreme. This corresponds to the Dvaita (dualistic) view — where the devotee and God are distinct yet connected through love.
“Bahudha Vishvato-Mukham” — Still others perceive the Lord as the Cosmic Being, manifest in all directions, all forms, all beings — the universe itself being the expression of the Divine.
Thus, Krishna teaches that every sincere form of worship leads to Him, regardless of how one perceives or names the Divine.
Unity and diversity both coexist in the Divine Reality — just as waves are distinct yet inseparable from the ocean.
